Joseph Roberson

Bio:

Joseph Roberson, has exhibited paintings, drawings, sculpture, and photographs regionally from North Carolina to New York, as well as in Thailand and Vietnam. Owner of Sanctuary Yoga in Union Square, he has taught yoga since 1979 in Maryland and North Carolina, including yoga teacher trainings and annual yoga retreats to Costa Rica. He is also a storyboard artist and published author.

Work description:
The most recent series originated from cross-breeding an electron-micrographic image of a single boron atom, which beautifully depicts its energy field patterning, with a traditional meditation image known as the Sri Yantra. Sometimes the image comes off the giclee printer complete while other times the print is a starting point for further development with gauche.
